Thank You Lord

Will checking out some medical BLOGS I came across an artcle about breast implants. It seems with new soft circuitry it is possible to have breast implants with MP3 players and/or radios! Now I for one think this is a hoot. I had these visions of my wife saying " Come here they are playing our song " or how about after a night with the kids gone you are laying in bed with your head on her chest listening to the Beatles. Tall girls would be verrrry fashionable.
The house starts to shake from some rap music and you know the neighbour with the double Ds is walking by, or, "Hey Henry, how come you always go out with big chested girls?" Well Henry is hard of hearing that's why.
Ah well it was a nice dream while it lasted. The good news is that it is now possible to implant devices to monitor life threatening conditions. As if breasts needed a more positive image.
Breastfeeding in public is under attack in England (Scotland has passed a bill guaranteeing the right to breastfeed). In Canada it is a non-starter because anyone can be topless in public (we don't discriminate, that way at least).

Path of Good Intentions

I have wondered why Tony Blair commited to this war in Iraq. Now it seems that my question has been answered. Good intentions. It appears that he didn't listen to his civilian and military advisors but went ahead and supported Bush because he was awed by the military might of the U.S. and he genuinely believed that Saddam must go.
We all believed that Saddam should go (they are a few others I would like to see gone as well!).

With all the lessons learned by the British you would have thought that they would have put the brakes on when they realised that the U.S. didn't have a coherent plan for the aftermath of the war. Britain better then any other nation has learnt these lessons well, but apparently all for naught. (Ceylon, Burma, VietNam etc.)

Would they have backed Bush but slowed things down a bit and waited for the consensus which countries were striving to get for them. Instead of unifying the world they have really divided it. Countries will still not hop in and back them because they have screwed it up sooo bad. I am afraid Blair must be stopped. He is now so committed to this atrocious american system with all its' destruction of basic freedom.
I feel bad for Blair and his country. They are now so totally commited that they cannot get out.

Regime change cannot be the only justification for war as the world is constructed now.
Iran, North Korea, Zimbabwe etc may not be nice countries or have good leaders but where do you stop? Before or after Venezuala? Cuba?

Because the U.S. has the mightiest arms warehouse in the world they also have the most responsibility in the world. They were once a beacon of freedom and justice and have now sunk to new lows with sanctioned torure chambers all around the globe.

So now we are in a position of supporting gallant warriors in a stupid campaign.
These brave men and women desrve better then they have received from these 2 Bs. If any good comes it will be because of these wonderful people on the ground and in spite of the politicians who put them there.
The 2 countries are squandering our precious young and they should be ashamed and the leaders turfed out unceremoniously.
You can be tough and fair, but being one without the other is a path to ruin. We are well down the path.
Appeasement doesn't work nor does unthinking reactionary might.

God Bless the soldiers their families and friends for they now shoulder a very heavy burden of trying to make the best of a bad situation.
