My god is it too much to ask that President Bush at least have good advisors?

Look I don't expect much from the man, Lord knows he tries, but he is not a very sharp tool.

They knew the storm was coming, they knew it was a Cat. 4 or 5 and they had only plans to handle a Cat. 3. They have practised the drill many times and knew they were going to be royally screwed whether it was a dead on hit on the Big Easy or anywhere East of there. The mayor got it right. He ordered total evacuation. Well except for hospitals, old age homes, prison & jails, poor people, psych wards etc.

Do not blame people who have been ignored for fighting for food , water and rescue. It is an american right to self preservation that is fueling much of the violence. Watching family members die waiting for help is apt to fray the best of nerves.

This isn't about politics it is about human rights.

Bush's group screwed it up again. They have no appreciation of how society works. First they screw up Iraq BIG time, and now they have messed up their own people with inaction.

More on Bush later. Let us all be thankful he cannot be appointed again.

Americans deserve leadership and they certainly haven't been getting any from Bush.

As I write this, hospitals are phoning news agencies for help. No electricity since the storm, supplies gone, people on the first floors taking food and supplies for their families, armed gangs outside robbing staff as they try to leave. Staff begging news people for help after being ignored by government agencies. It boggles the mind that staff have been manually providing breathing for patients since the electricity went out. Using ambu - bags on patients for Days. Moving everyone to higher floors to protect them from criminals.

Call in the British for heavens sakes. Call somebody before they kill off all the victims.

I am not a fan of recalls and impeachment but W is the best reason for both that I have ever seen.

If this is the best they can do when they are given advance warning, there is no way they would survive a major unannounced disaster.
