Fundamentalist State. The Christian Republic of the United States
The U.S. has been hijacked! It is now exactly what it says it is fighting against.
Think about it. Religious leaders calling for the death of another country's leader. Not willing to co-exist in a meaningful way with other countries or international institutions. Invading countries in contravention of rules of the diplomatic community (add to that, screwing it up so badly that they are going to end up worse off). Squandering world resources and going to war to maintain a wasteful lifestyle.
Boy, if you didn't know better you would think they were a fundamentalist Islamic state. The fundamentalist Christian state behaves by the same rules as their enemies. So how can they say they are God's gift to the world.
It is scary.

the majority of the great wars of history were started in the name of religion.
Actually, Patriarchial religion.
The crusades, Joan of Arc, the burning times, Gallilleo, the palistanian/ Israli conflict, Muslims against the infidels, Nazis vs the Jews...it goes on and on and on.
It is interesting to note that all wars started in the name of religion were instigated by patriarchies.
No war is on record that began with an attack by a matriarchy.
Their peaceful nature is likely why they have been so successfully wiped out.
Sad but true.
Thats why I want to stimulate a discussion about the grail. The grail secret is that we need to restore our religion and government to a philosophy that balances male and female qualities.
achieving this is what will bring peace.
you know...the king and the grail are one...
(Pass it on for peace)
I think kelley bell's got a point
here,could be that "Patriarchist"
will eventually vote themcelves out;as the communists did in the russian "Dooma" (house of representatives).
Anybody and everybody knows war is:
WRONG WAY NO ISSUE and people in charge of a nation that makes war are like dinosaurs in a mamalian world.Late..much too late.
Fundamentalism in just about any form is some scary shit; when people are willing to believe something that goes beyond all rationality, it makes for interesting headlines.
I must say Kelley sure has some fascinating insights on history.
I hope she keeps printing them as most of it is new to me. My "orthodox" christian friends have never heard of this either. Boy are they ever scrambling!!!
Keep writing Kelley!
Bless your kind sweet heart Greg! I get so much venom from so many people when I discuss ancient mythologies.
Having one voice to encourage me is like a refresing drink of water in the midst of a desert storm.
Thank you, and I will keep writing. Right now I am working on a piece that idetifies olde European fairy tales as religious parables.
We know that the biblical story of the Shepherd and his flock is not animal husbandry, it is religious parable.
But did you know that Cinderella, Snow White, and Robbin Hood are also teachings of religion?
-Hope that wets your whistle...the story will be ready in a week or so.
